Honda: The dream comes true

www.micheledauria.com/source/video.html

This is an animation made by Michelle Dauria.  It explores various aspects of life, aspiration and ultimate achievement.  Personally, I find the theme here to be kind of sappy, but the animation quality and style is pretty awesome.

Stuff No One Told Me, by Alex Noriega

www.theinspirationtree.com/2011/01/stuff-no-one-told-me-by-alex-noriega.html

This collection of images is one of the most profound pieces I have ever stumbled upon online.  It features many different illustrations, each with a rather profound statement as the caption.  They touch on issues such as life in general, sociality, life goals, and relaitonships.

Muffin films

www.muffinfilms.com/
Muffin films is a flash collaboration featuring over 10 flash artists.  It is a centralized website with a web structure.    You navigate to different muffin films, each written, animated, and voice by different artists, by clicking on different muffins in a cooking tin.  Each is themed for young children and teach unexpected lessons pertaining to muffins.

(In)visible bike?

nsa01.casimages.com/img/2008/01/24/0801240855502144780.gif

For a few years now, the "invisible bike" image has been popular on the internet.  The image depicts a cat in midair, in a strange position, seemingly holding the handlebars of an invisible bike.  However, this gif shows the same cat riding an actual bike, through use of photo manipulation.

Perfect Loop

www.inspirefirst.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/jamie2.gif
This is a loop created to be a subway moving down the terminal.  Because it's a loop, it appears that the subway is endless and that it never stops moving.  This is obviously an illusion, however, the loop is seemless, and it's impossible to distinguish its beginning or end, making it a successful loop.

THE END OF THE INTERNET

www.webnme.com/EndoftheInternet.swf

This is a really simple flash piece basically making fun of how often people aimlessly wander the internet.  The animation basically just tells the user that they have reached the absolute end of the internet and have seen everything there is to be seen, and at the end it tells them to turn their computer off and do something productive.  This piece has no interactive aspect and loops infinitely.

Light Illustration master

www.itchy-animation.co.uk/

This is website/portfolio of a renowned animator who is a complete and utter master of illustrating light in his pieces.  He gives a lengthy tutorial on all the different variations of light portrayal in pieces, including indoor vs outdoor lighting, natural vs artificial lighting and light direction.  This would be very helpful for an aspiring realistic artist.
